Created as part of the Lyon Lights Festival by Benoit Deseille and Benedetto Bufalino, the phone booth aquarium is a beautiful, functional, a seemingly misplaced conversation piece, and it may surprise you but it is also a statement on reuse. According to its creators, their decision to repurpose the glass cage (the phone booth) arose partly because these phone booths lie unused and rotting since most people nowadays have telephones. Why not, then, convert these ‘unused glass cages’ into luminous aquariums filld with exotic fish?

These and similar photographs circulate via email and are often posted to blogs and online forums for discussion. The intriguing little creature depicted in the photographs is commonly misidentified as a "legged fish" or a "fish with legs and hands". Some postulate that the images are actually fakes created in an image manipulation program.
In fact, the photographs are genuine, although they do not depict a fish. This creature is an Axolotl or "Mexican Walking Fish". The Axolotl is an amphibian, more specifically, a salamander. Although they are native to Mexico, Axolotls have become popular as exotic pets around the world. In captivity, they are housed in an aquarium and can have a range of colours

The Whale Shark - the world's largest fish - is listed on the World Conservation Union's Red List of Threatened Animals as "indeterminate" status. Not enough is even known about the Whale Shark to call it endangered!!
Whale sharks are rare, exclusive creatures that scientists still know very little about. One interesting adaptation of the whale shark that scientists have discovered is that it has sensors that run the length of its body which are used for detecting pressure changes in the surrounding water. Whale sharks swim with their huge mouths wide open to chow down, making it hard for their proportionately small eyes to see where they're going. Being able to detect large objects with their pressure sensors gives the shark a "sixth sense" that acts like back-up vision.
Lionfish can be seen in most aquariums. Lionfish is a saltwater fish but many people mistakenly think that there are some freshwater lionfish that they can keep as pet
